![]() Africa Schools of Kenya: Brightening the Path for Maasai Students Africa Schools of Kenya (ASK) is dedicated to enriching the lives of Maasai students through education that respects and preserves cultural traditions. In southeast Kenya electricity is rare, only Esiteti School is connected to power, leaving over 50 surrounding homes in darkness. To support ASKs Life Skills Pilot training course, we’re providing 20 Luke Lights and 4 Chargers for participating students and instructors. These solar lights will allow learners to study after dark, develop consistent routines, and build educational momentum. Distribution happened in April 2025, ensuring lights reached students in time to support ongoing academic growth. ![]() Community Health Partnership Honduras: Solar Solutions for Medical Care Community Health Partnership Honduras (CHPH) provides community-based healthcare in rural areas like Marcala and La Paz, where medical access is limited and electricity is often unavailable. Their work supports patients living in extreme poverty with conditions that require regular care and attention. We are partnering with CHP-Honduras to supply 1,000 Luke Lights and 200 Chandler Chargers, enabling providers to offer safer, more reliable care, especially during nighttime outreach. These tools will also help families navigate their daily lives with security. On Mission Global: Inspiring Literacy in Rhino Refugee Camp On Mission Global is working to improve literacy at the Rhino Refugee Camp in Uganda, which houses thousands of South Sudanese refugees. With limited access to books and no electricity, reading after sunset is a major challenge. Through their reading incentive program, students will receive a Luke Light once they read a certain number of books, and top readers will earn Chandler Chargers as prizes. Unite to Light is supporting this effort with 100 Luke Lights and 10 Chargers, helping to spark a love for learning while building essential literacy skills. Raising Hope of Nevada: Empowering the Unhoused in Las Vegas Raising Hope of Nevada supports individuals experiencing homelessness across Las Vegas through outreach and wraparound services. Many of those they serve live entirely without access to electricity, making safety, communication, and stability harder to achieve. We’re partnering to provide 100 Luke Lights and 100 Chandler Chargers, which will be distributed by their outreach teams and partner organizations. These devices will allow individuals to charge phones, stay connected to vital resources, and safely navigate their environment at night. ![]() SAWA SAWA Collection: Lighting the Way for Women Artisans SAWA SAWA Collection supports Kenyan artisan women through traditional craftwork, creating pathways out of poverty while preserving local culture. Many of these women live and work in rural areas affected by human-wildlife conflict, with no access to electricity. We are partnering to supply 200 solar lights to artisans in Laikipia County, Maasai Mara, and Eastern Kenya. These lights will reduce safety risks from wildlife, extend productive work hours, and improve the well-being of women and their families. Distribution will take place during their July 2025 visit, with the potential to expand the project to even more villages in the future. ![]() St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho: Light for Stability and Support St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho offers critical services to those experiencing homelessness in Coeur d’Alene and neighboring counties. Electricity is not available to most clients outside of warming center hours, limiting their ability to stay connected and safe. We’re supporting their efforts with 25 Luke Lights and 25 Chandler Chargers, which will be distributed through case management sessions and shelter programs. These tools will provide clients with greater autonomy and access to services, helping them take steps toward long-term stability. At Unite to Light, we believe that light is more than a convenience, it’s a catalyst for opportunity. Whether helping a student complete homework, empowering a woman to feel safe at night, or allowing someone to charge a phone and reconnect with family, light and power make all the difference.
